As part of its policy of continual improvement, Seesjarvi-Poles is always looking for ways of improving the performance of its pole offering. After contacting Polesaver in early 2019, Seesjarvi-Poles expressed interest in both Polesaver ground line sleeves to prevent ground decay and also in Polesaver fire protection fabric.
Polesaver Fire Fabric
Bush fires are surprisingly common in Russia. It is well known that wooden utility poles treated with copper-based wood preservatives tend to afterburn and smoulder long after the initial fire has passed. This smouldering often leads to pole failure several hours after the fire has passed with severe consequences in regards to supply and safety.
Polesaver fire fabric offers a simple means of overcoming this problem. Supplied on a roll, it is cut and wrapped around the pole and stapled in place using stainless steel staples. Seesjarvi-Poles have undertaken their own in house testing of the fire fabric with excellent results and hope to start supply soon.

Polesaver ground line barrier sleeves dramatically extend wooden pole life while also overcoming the traditional problem with all wooden poles; loss of strength at the ground-line section of the pole.
With wood preservatives only providing partial protection from ground line decay, poles can start to lose strength after only a few years in service. Polesaver sleeves are the only product that offers total protection from ground line decay. They ensure pole strength is maintained over time, resulting in significantly improved safety and network reliability.
